NAME: F-Zero X SYSTEM: Nintendo 64 MAKER: Nintendo PRODUCER: Shigeru Miyamoto GENRE: Racing GRAPHICS: 8. A little foggy MUSIC: 10. The same music from F-Zero (which is good) but done in a rock style =;^, FUN: 9. One of the better racers REPLAY: 10. There are tons of tracks and cars to be unlocked DIFFICULTY: 9. I hope your reaction time's up to par ENDING: 4. Personalized, and coolish STORYLINE: 5. No comments MULTIPLAYER: 9. It even keeps a good frame rate ORIGINALITY: 3. Well, it's F-Zero 2 basically REALISM: 8. Surprising CONTROL: 7. Too slippery MATURITY: 7. Not a turn off to older gamers Is F-Zero X really the fastest game of all time? Probably. Is it the best? Not quite, but it's in the winner circle. If you have fast reflexes and a strong index finger, this is the game for you. The graphics aren't perfect of course (too much fog), but the reflections on the machines are cool. The music rocks, and the whole game just seems a step up from the kiddie crap that Nintendo has a habit of releasing. My only gripe is the control. If you turn sharply at all then you'll go skidding out of control. That's where the R and Z button moves come it, the drift turn. Anyway, if you like fast action, you'll like this game.
